This is where my heart really lies. The perfect excuse for shapes and sparkles and a bit of unashamed kitsch drama. However, if a simple but lovely victoria sponge is more your style, then I’m more than happy to make that too!
I’ve said before, I don’t make perfect cook book cover cakes – mine are
quite definitely home made and a little more real. So if you are
looking for a cake which is bigger in character, lower in price and packed
with flavour then I’m your woman. Mine are the type of cakes you could
pretend you had made yourself (and I won’t tell anyone if you do!). If
you prefer your icing flawlessly smooth and your polka dots equidistant then
there are many others who will do this for you beautifully.
This is the perfect chance to share a bit of cake or biscuit love. Heart shapes, roses, liberal swirls of sparkle and splodges of red and pink icing. What better way to say I love you… Choose from love buns, a chocolate raspberry heart and any number of heart shaped biscuits.
I love all the baking traditions
linked to Easter. My favourites are the deep fruity simnel cake (with a
marzipan egg for each of the apostles) and the Sedgemoor Easter Cakes, a
rich spicy fruity shortbread which come tied in bundles of three to
represent the Holy Trinity. I also do a good line in chocolate
nests for any chicks or eggs in need of a home.
A lovely way to say thank you. Wonderful cakes and biscuits for wonderful mothers and fathers. Spell it out on cupcakes or in biscuits.
From Halloween cupcakes and pumpkin and spider biscuits to a rather macabre ghoul cake I can help provide the fuel for your trick-or-treating…
Cakes and biscuits make perfect presents for those difficult-to-buy-for people. Plus this is the time of year to really go for it with the glitter and sparkle. Choose from snow-flecked brownies, seasonal cupcakes and starry mince pies to Christmas cake and spiced biscuits which can double up as tree decorations.
